About EuthaNEWSia

The EuthaNEWSia editor reviews publicly available online news reports, using the news-gathering facilities of services like the Google News service. Up to two pieces of significance are selected each day, and an advisory for each is emailed to each subscriber.

Each EuthaNEWSia advisory briefly describes the story, and includes a link to a full online version. As well, each advisory lists the story's major topics and gives the source of the chosen report.

EuthaNEWSia selections include:

  • notable events

  • demonstrations of current trends

  • illustrations of the principles, and bias, of both pro- and anti-euthanasia factions

EuthaNEWSia certainly has a point of view, being published by the Right to Die Society of Canada, but it is also committed to being:

  • comprehensive, covering all aspects of the news and views from every quarter. Stories of note are either described in the advisories, or listed in the "Also see" section or "Overflow" section.

  • fair to all parties. EuthaNEWSia is not a cheerleader or a combatant. EuthaNEWSia operates on the old liberal democratic principle that an informed citizenry will eventually reach the best decision.

  • moderate in tone. We're not selling advertising, just communicating information.

The current volunteer editor is Michael Dawson <editor@euthanewsia.ca>. The past editors were Paul Zollmann, and Themis Anno.
