Robert Rivas, attorney to the
Final Exit Network
(FEN), says that Georgia prosecutors are intentionally
delaying the start of court proceedings against the
Final Exit Network members. In contrast, the Arizona
prosecutors are proceeding at normal speed with their
charges.
Rivas alleges that the Georgia prosecutors have a broad
strategy of attempting to inflict damage on FEN outside
the courtroom: filing criminal charges and not
prosecuting them; seizing assets and avoiding the
hearing which could give them back to FEN; and
stimulating other states to investigate FEN.
