New Hampshire Committee Votes Against Assisted Suicide Bill

Description:

The House Judiciary Committee voted 14-3 against recommending Bill 304 to the full New Hampshire House of Representatives. Bill 304 would have allowed terminally ill patients over age 18 obtain lethal prescriptions. The bill was opposed by some supporters of assisted suicide that felt the bill did not take their concerns into account.

Sandy Issacs of Compassion & Choices said: "We'll be coming back with something more people might be willing to pass."
